GRACE

(2.5 years old – Newest Team Member)

  • Grace is the team’s playful spark — equal parts cuddles and happy wiggles
  • She might greet you with a happy tail wag or a playful spark, but she always knows when it’s time to slow down and snuggle
  • A natural at connecting with children through both play and calm presence
  • Loves joining programs, events, and community visits
  • As the newest member of the team, she’s already making a big impact with her warm, loving personality
  • Favourite Game: A playful round of fetch or tug-of-war.

MARION

(4.5 years old – Orillia Homebase)

  • Marion is the queen of cozy cuddles and a professional lap-snuggler
  • Known for her signature “gentle head plop,” she takes her job very seriously
  • If kindness had a face, it would probably look a lot like Marion
  • She is a steady source of calm during investigations, counselling, and healing journeys
  • For many children, Marion is the first step toward feeling safe again
  • Favourite Item: Her Lick Mat

BEACON

(9.5 years old – Barrie Homebase)

  • Beacon is the wise, calm leader of the pack — and she definitely knows it
  • She takes her time, moves at her own pace, and somehow makes everything feel more relaxed
  • A true professional, she’s been helping kids for years with her signature gentle charm
  • She asks for nothing, simply offering quiet companionship that helps children feel seen and supported
  • If you need calm, Beacon’s your girl
  • Favourite “Game”: Slow, relaxed walks.

Our COPE Service Dogs Beacon and Marion act as goodwill ambassadors of the Centre. They provide emotional/relaxation support and deep pressure therapy to children, youth and their caregivers. Their sweet, gentle nature, and genuine care of people, enhances the healing-centered approach of the Advocate Program immensely.
