The Child & Youth Advocacy Centre Simcoe Muskoka (CYACSM) is a charitable organization. Its programs and services are provided at no cost to families, eliminating financial barriers and improving access to care, key issues for those experiencing physical and/or sexual victimization and exposure to trauma. ​

Why donate?

Currently, Child & Youth Advocacy Centres in Ontario do not receive funding from the Government of Ontario. Grants and community contributions are relied on to advance and sustain this important work.

The CYACSM is calling on our communities to support this important and challenging work today, to help strengthen our communities of tomorrow. Donations of any amount are welcomed and appreciated!

Specialized Trauma-Informed Support for 1 Child (to age 12) – $1,250 provides:

 

  • Urgent access to child-centred, confidential, neutral space for forensic interviews
  • Individualized support by specially trained, on-site Child Advocates
  • Canine assisted therapeutic interventions with on-site, accredited facility Dogs – Moose & Beacon
  • Trauma-informed assessment of child’s immediate and ongoing needs
  • Referrals and follow-up for specialized care including trauma therapy and pediatric assessments

Specialized Trauma-Informed Support for 1 Child (age 12-24) – $1,750 provides:

 

  • Urgent access to youth-centred, confidential, neutral space for forensic interviews
  • Individualized support by specially trained, on-site Youth Advocates
  • Canine assisted therapeutic interventions with on-site, accredited Facility Dogs – Moose & Beacon
  • Trauma-informed assessment of youth’s immediate and ongoing needs
  • Referrals and follow-up for ongoing support including mental health, housing and safety planning • Ongoing updates, education and system navigation through any court proceedings and beyond

Specialized Trauma-Informed Support for a Family of 4 – $2,500 provides:

 

  • Urgent access to family-centred, confidential, neutral space for forensic interviews
  • Individualized support by specially trained, on-site Child, Youth & Family Advocates
  • Canine assisted therapeutic interventions with on-site, accredited Facility Dogs – Moose & Beacon
  • Trauma-informed assessment of child(ren), youth & family’s immediate and ongoing needs
  • Referrals and follow-up for ongoing support including mental health, housing and safety planning
  • Ongoing updates, education and system navigation through any court proceedings and beyond
  • Immediate assistance with urgent needs including transportation vouchers, food, clothing and necessities
